Dr. Peter Sobotka is a successful serial entrepreneur who established the largest information technology company in Slovakia in 1999.
After moving to Canada, he founded Corinex Communications Corp., where he is the majority owner. The company, headquartered in Vancouver, focuses on clean tech. It has a global presence and is known for being fast-growing and profitable. Asa leader in Broadband over Power Lines (BPL)-based grid flexibility solutions, Corinex plays a pivotal role in digitalizing distribution grids and optimizing network capacities by steering low carbon technologies (LCTs).
His industry contributions include serving as a Member of the Board of the PRIME Alliance, holding membership in the G3 Alliance, and participating in the National Electricity Roundtable in Canada. He also contributes to the industry as a Member of WG4 of the European Smart Network for Energy Transition.
Additionally, Peter is a member of the Clinton Global Initiative.
He earned a PhD in Applied Physics in Slovakia and completed fellowships at Texas A&M University and Tohoku University in Sendai, Japan. Peter has published over 20 research papers and books, and he has coauthored numerous international patents.
